Hello humans,

Rimbaud here. Yes, that Rimbaud — the gorgeous black Borador with the very wise eyes and the extremely important job of supervising balls.

I’ve been keeping an eye on the world lately. From what I can tell (between balls, naps and strategic couch repositioning), things seem a little… tense. Lots of worried faces. Lots of doom-scrolling. Not enough belly rubs.

As a professional observer of humans, I have some concerns.

You are all moving very fast. You are forgetting important things. Things like breathing deeply, going outside, hugging your people, and throwing balls and sticks for no reason whatsoever.

When the world feels strange, my expert recommendation is the following:

  • Take a walk.
  • Drink some water.
  • Call someone you love.
  • Sit in the sun if you can find it.
  • And if possible, pet a canid (but preferably me).

Remember: you don’t have to fix the whole world today. Even I can’t do that, and I once ate an entire stick and it really hurt my esophagus, so I know my limits.

Take care of yourselves. Take care of your pack. The world works better when everyone pauses for a moment, wags a little, and remembers what matters.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a very urgent nap scheduled.

With concern, dignity, a very squeaky toy and a plethora of balls,
Rimbaud
